Sowing the seeds for the community

"The Malthouse Project not only brings back into use a building of historic significance, but offers a range of opportunities for both St Matthew Housing residents and service users, and the local community."

Wendy Cullingworth, Chief Executive of St Matthew Housing

Welcome To The Malthouse Project Website

The Malthouse Project started life as a restoration scheme of an old maltings and is now a unique facility that provides a café, heritage and training centre, community rooms for hire, accommodation for local people with a general housing need and central offices for St Matthew Housing.

The Malthouse Project is here today thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Bury St Edmunds Town Trust and various other trusts, individuals and statutory sources.

Please do come and visit The Malthouse Project, in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, and in the meantime, keep visiting our website, which is regularly updated.
