The Malthouse Project has three meeting and function rooms available to hire. These are the Beamed Room, Heritage & Training Room and Kiln Café.
Each room offers varying surroundings for all different types of functions; the Beamed Room with its vast space and exposed timber frames; the Heritage and Training Room with its original maltings door and bespoke cabinet containing years of history; the Kiln Café with its high ceilings and original kiln tiles and bricks.
All rooms have high tech audio visual equipment available to hire. There is also a portable audio loop available if required.
The Malthouse Project offers catering for meeting and functions. The catering is carried out in house by the café staff and volunteers. This unique service ensures freshly prepared food at a reasonable cost.
The Malthouse Project is ideally positioned in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. It is next to a long stay car park and is close to public transport.

The magnificent Beamed Room with its exposed timber beams and vast space offers a unique setting for a range of functions, such as exhibitions or formal and informal meetings.
The Beamed Room can accommodate up to 50 people and can be laid out in various styles, e.g. boardroom, theatre, classroom or U shaped.
The room is equipped with the latest audio visual technology and has an audio loop available if required.
The Heritage and Training Room offers the hirer a step back in time as this area seeps history. The room houses a display cabinet with original artefacts, a historical timeline and a model of the building when it was a maltings. The dividing wall in the room is made from original floorboards and in the far corner of the room is an old maltings door with rat hole!
The room accommodates up to six people and has lecture style chairs with writing tablets. The room is fitted with training equipment, such as an LCD screen, entertainment centre (projector, DVD player, CD player) and flip charts.
The Kiln Café is currently available to hire on Mondays and for evening hire Monday - Saturday.
This is a high quality space for parties, informal meetings or local groups. It can accommodate up to 16 people seated.
